So. Tomorrow will be when the first matches of the 2017/2018 season will be played. And it will all start in Guild Hall in Preston when professionals and Q School Top-Ups compete in the qualifying rounds of the Riga Masters first (31st May – 2nd June) and then of the hugely-revamped China Championships second (3rd June – 6th June).
I’m sure we will be keeping an eye, especially under the hashtag #PeopleWhoStareAtLiveScores. With many, many fantastic debutants in Lukas Kleckers, Yuan Sijun and Ashley Hugill making their mark, Anthony Hamilton and Yan Bingtao building on their spectacular 2016/2017 season and of cause the big guns wanting to make a fantastic start by getting the first few titles in the bag.
Unfortunately, I am in a middle of job-hunting due to redundancy so my time is limited depending on how successful I will be! In the meantime:

Also, I am starting #snookergifsunday – where I upload a number of GIFs (tiny, mute videos to you and I) of various shots made by one particular player per week. Last Sunday I did a few on Dechawat Poomjaeng. Please send me suggestions on my Twitter and Facebook page on what players you would like to see! Keep it as varied as possible!
