I’m running the Brighton Marathon for Dementia UK

I feel one of my greatest strengths is subtlety. 🙂

I am really excited to announce that I will be running the Brighton Marathon to raise money for Dementia UK next year on 9th April 2017! Dementia UK is a superb and compassionate charity that funds carers across the country, looking after the elderly who are currently suffering from the condition.

This is quite personal for me, since my loving and devoted grandmother, who passed away earlier this year, suffered from dementia for about two years. It was absolutely terrifying to see her deteriorate so quickly, and if it wasn’t for the fantastic support from carers, my family and I would be overwhelmed. It is them who helped us make sure that my grandmother lived comfortably and happily! I am running the marathon in memory of her.

I have already set up a JustGiving page to explain my story and all – it is, of course, all for a fantastic cause. Since this is Twitter, and my contact with my followers has been limited, I am not expecting any donations. If you can give, that would be absolutely brilliant and I would appreciate it very much. Any advice and support will also be greatly appreciated.

Sorry in advance for any annoying running updates that might crop in the next five months. This is something I will be updating on my blog as well as snooker. Below are the links in case if you are interested. If so, please be interested in any other charity your friends and family are raising money for!

So, since the registration fee is now paid, the welcome back has been received and have now posted on Facebook, in the words of Theoden:
